The Hamilton Island Art Gallery presents Jane Kempe’s fifth solo exhibition and teaching residency on gorgeous Hamilton Island in the magical Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef Australia. The artist is excited to show her latest works inspired by the colour and light of the island. “I love the fun of teaching children and seeing the world through their eyes. And instructing adults is always inspirational for my work too. It will be buzzy for i’s Australia’s school holidays and of course, the celebration of Easter,” comments Jane Kempe, who has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since 2007. Jane Kempe introduces new paintings featuring yachts and abstract works. There’s also a fun installation piece comprising nine canvases measuring 30 cm square each showing a unique and colourful tropical fish found on the Great Barrier Reef. This installation will be presented as a square. The artist’s abstracts are saturated colour interpretations of sunset skies and coral seas. Yachts blaze with colourful spinnakers on breezy days and red sky afternoons.
